relax

The side of this card is punched and therefor a little bit smaller then the back of the card!! The topper needed  a little frame, but all my dies were too big to fit. So I used a martha steward punch around the page punch. Then cut it in 2 triangles. Glued one half underneath the topper and did the same on the other side, and then cut into the corners where it was overlapping, like you would do with a picture frame!

See that flourish underneath the little pink flower? That is a Spellbinders corner die. Only I cut it in half, and used the the other way around. Lovely right??

backgrounds

Sometimes you have leftover backgrounds, or leftover toppers from a craftkit. In this case it was the background. Used one of my favourite spellbinder dies, one of my favourite sentiment stamps, and scroll stamp and a lovely decoupage.

Tilda

Oh my word, it has been such a long time ago since I last used a Tilda. I had colored her ages ago, and came across her and she just needed to go on a card. Background paper from Crafters Companions.

Crafters Companions

Again a card made with the crafters companions set. These sets are so much fun to play with. Don't take a lot of time to make, which was good cos I was preparing for a fair to sell cards, which btw was not a good day. Only sold 6 cards.

Free kit

In england, we get all these amazing craftmagazines that give free craftstuff with it. One of those magazines had a Hunkydory kit with it! Isn't that just the cutest??

Craft magazine

The beauty of beeing a member of the hunkydorables facebook page is that you get tips when there are kits available, and where and so on. There was this one craftmagazine, and it had a full HD craftset in! I bought it 3 times. One for myself and one for my mum and aunt :)

Gems

This is another Crafter's Companions card. The flowers needed a little umpf and the little gems I usually use were not right for this flower, so I got my trusty tub out with cheap, yet fun gem's from Zeeman (dutch store!). How festive does this look??

rocker card

I used my fake spellbinders scalloped circle die and made it into a rocker card! Used the pointsetta Die from Marianne (an old old Die, one of my first) and turned it into a "normal" flower really :)

Crafters Companion's

So after buying the Hunkydory Blockbuster I got an idea on how to work with these kind of sets. As I was watching Create and Craft, this wonderfull Crafter's Companions deal came across the screen. Sets like Hunkydory (one topper sheet and 2 background sheets), but a lesser, though still very good, quality. I had to order it ofc, and I can tell you, I have used the full set. Nothing left. All made into cards!!

card creator

Spellbinders have brought out this new Die-idea called card creator. Wonderfull Die's that are not as big as a Grand nestie, but not as small as a normal nestie. An inbetween size, perfect to use as a cardbase!

Hang in there

I have joined the Hunkydorables facebook page, and they do a thing called birthday buddies, which is a small group of 5 people who send eachother birthdaycards. One of my buddies was going through a really rough time, so I made her a Hang in there card using my new Spellbinders and a lovely Marieke decoupage!

hunkydory 049

This was a massive topper in this set. So stunning it hardly needed anything else. But as I can't do simple really, I still had to do swirls and flowers :)

hunkydory 048

This was half of a background sheet, and just too pretty to overlap that picture with a topper or something, so on a card, made a border out of some leftover sheet that hold the toppers, sentiment, flowers, swirlythings and gems!! Love it!!

I made another card with the grand circle Die from my fake spellbinders. I had the sentiment and the border leftover, so I found a matching backgroundpaper, and a fun decoupage to go with it :)

Hunkydory 046

A second card of that clockset. In all fairness, I don't think I made this card very well. The circle and oval look a bit out of place where they are, because I didn't want them to overlap the pretty border. Ohwell, we learn from our mistakes!

hunkydory 037

My mum has got the Grand nestabilities scalloped circle's and whenever I am at hers I have to use it. When Carol's Crafts in town had a 50% discount on everything I could not resist bying my own (fake spellbinders) grand scalloped circles!

I like this idea, working with accetate and sticking something on the foreground. It gives a lot of depth to the card!

hunkydory 035

Such a lovely backgroundpaper, too good to not use it as a focal point really, so only a small decoupage and the sentiment and voila!
