Farmer boy

When I was at my mums, we spend a few hours here and there in craftshops. That's where I found this new Marianne Design die, that can be transformed into so many different things ... straw, lavender, etc .. It was just perfect to go with this little farmer boy.

Colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors. Used my new Nestie, that I totally love, and again one of my fave Martha Steward punches called Cherish.

summery

I say summery, but the weather outside feels and looks more like fall. The wind is blowing like anything, and the rain is pooring. Good day for crafting :)

The card however is lovely summery :) Sarah Kay is ready for a picknick with lots of yummie stuff :) She is colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors. She was then stuck on one of my fave nestabilities, that I stencilled. That was stuck on a piece of cardstuck, that I attacked with a Punch around the page 9from Martha Steward ofcourse) called Cherish. The beauty of this punch is that it comes with pre-punched holes in your card. I used the outer line of holes to stitch the lovely lace to the card, pretending it to be a picknick blanket.
The patterened paper was printed from a crafters companion cd. Now that I have bought a new printer, I can print out these backgrounds, and they look so amazing. Used a Marianne Design die, that I actually turned upside down, and then went over it with a thick pencil, so the upward lines went flat and it looks like it was actually ment to be facing this way instead of the other way around. Some flowers, hot-fix stones and a birthday stamp.

sketch saturday

What a great sketch this week at the Sketch Saturday blog. I felt so inspired by it that I had 2 different cards in mind. One is done, and I am posting that one now as an entry for the blog. The other one will be made later :)

I used some good old back ground paper. A nestability that I embossed and stencilled. Marthe Steward punch, that my Aunt Marij punched out for me, so I dont know the name. One of my favourite Marianne Designs flower dies. I love how you can thread the ribbon through to give it so much more texture and dimention. Nellie Snellen butterfly punch, and ofcourse the main focus, cute little Tilda. She is colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors.

More Hobbydots

I have had a busy week last week. Did not even have time to finish the card I started on sunday. Hopefully I get to do the last bits for this week (more gardening and cleaning) so I will have a day for myself tomorrow to do my crafting :)

This is another card with Hobbydots. This was actually the first one I made. I like doing it, but it really take a long long time to finish it all!! Colored the lovely stamp (I can't remember the make, but it's something from Nellie Snellen) with Promarkers and Prismacolors. The border is a Martha Steward punch, that is only a line punch, so not a punch-around-the-page one. I had to fiddle a bit to get it sort of as an around-the-page one :) It's on ok card, but clearly not one of my best :)

Hobbydots

When I went to Holland for 3 weeks, I stayed at my mum's house for a bit. Now my mum is a very very good cardmakester herself, and always has new and fun things for me to play with. Also a 15 minute push-bikeride away is a great craftstore. So off we went, and I bought some lovely stuff. One of the things was a hobbydots kit. First you prick little holes in your card according to the pattern, and then you stick all the different sizes of stickers on. Takes a while, but I love the result!!

I colored a new stamp I bought as well, it's a Sarah (not to be confused with Sarah Kay). Used promarkers and prismacolors. I can't even begin to tell you how I adore and love this way of coloring! The pencils just lifts up the whole coloring with the promarkers, giving it so much warmth and depth. Also used a Nellie Snellen mini butterfly punch, that I love, and obviously bought for myself as well :) The big butterfly is a Joy die, and the swirl is a Marianne Design die. The border is a die as well, but I can't remember what make it is. Hope you enjoyed looking at my little card :)

5 weeks

5 weeks, or maybe even longer, it took me to actually finish this card. I had most of it done, but then stress about the cross-stitch for my sisters baby kicked in, then stress about my sisters baby and then 3 weeks of Holland. So when I came back, and I blew off all the dust, I finally managed to finish off this little card :)

This cute little girly was colored with Promarkers, used lovely Mariann Design corner dies, nesties and some other cute stuff :)

Yesterday was a good day :) Ian took our oldest daughter fishing for the day, and our youngest was on a sponsored walk with scouts, so yay for me, I had the house all to myself :) And I made a card for the Sketchsaturday blog :)

I used a lovely stamp from buzzcraft called Oliver's Orchard Characters and Captions (now there's a mouth full!!), that a borrowed from my great friend Julie. Colored some bits with promarkers and other bits with prismacolors. Also used Marianne Design dies and a nestability. Punch is from Martha Steward called Cherish!!

Finally

Yes, I finally found the time to go on my blog again. I toomk pictures of all the cards I have made lately, and rduced the sizes in paint, so I am ready to post again!.

It has been busy and very exciting few months. My sister gave birth to a beatiful baby girl, called Joelle. Because of that I spend 3 weeks in Holland to help out my sister and my mum. When I came back it was straight into 2 weeks holiday with my own kids, and trying to restore what was left of a clean house we had when I went on holiday :) But all is good now, house is sort of clean, garden is done, and cards have been made. And here is the first card:

I made this box-card for my mother in law's birthday. Used a lovely cottage stamp, and colored everything with prismacolors. I am not too good with coloring with prismacolors on their own, but practise makes perfect is what they say, so I have to practise some more :)

Hope you like the card, and you come back to see more of what I have made in the past 2 months.
