Pink and Orange

For this card I embossed the background. For some reason I totally love the embossed look, but always forget to use my embossing folders! I then created 2 orange flowers. Orange and pink is such a lovely color combination :)

Oval

I bet you don't recognize it, but the golden intrecate lace idea behind this topper is actually an oval Spellbinders Die! How pretty!

Frame

Some of the Hunkydory card has such a cute picture on it that it is just ashame to stick something over it. In this case I used the background card, and created an appature frame on the front using stamps and distressinks. This is one of my favourite cards of this year!

Splash of blue

I love the tones of this Hunkydory cardkit. The greys and whites, and the lovely animals! And that little splash of blue created with a Spellbinders corner Die sets it of so nicely :)

Gatefold

They call this type of card a gatefold card. I have always liked making this type of card. The one thing I have learned making this one though, is NOT to punch through Hunkydory card!! I nearly broke my beloved Martha Steward punch!!

Simple

I like how pretty all these backgrounds and toppers are, and they just don't need a lot to make a simple, yet very pretty card!!

This card is made half cardstock, half accetate. It gives such a luxury feel to the card :)

Cuteness

Another free hunkydory kit, that came with a magazine. So cute with the little mice and hedgehogs!! The corner is a Spellbinders D-lite Die :)

Free gifts

There were 2 different card sets with one of the Hunkydory magazines. This is one of the sets. Funky pastel christmas toppers, card and background papers! So much fun to work with this set :)

Frame

I saw this type of card on a Hunkydory website, and it was so stunning I had to recreate it. How much fun was it to make!!! Isn't it amazing how it frames the picture?

Hanger

I like making different style cards, and this is one of my favourites. They are quite simple and fast to do, but I love how it looks! Made with all Hunkydory stuff, and a Sheena Douglas sentiment stamp.

hunkydory 050

A card from the Hunkydory Blockbuster. Already 50 cards made from the set and still so so much to go! I cut out 2 snowflakes, well, they are not really snowflakes, but I think they are amazing, from a spellbinders Die. I used cosmic shimmer glue in red to create faux pearls, only to discover that when it's really warm outside the glue just runs instead of making a nice pearl shape. So when it tried, I put some little gems on top of them :)

Marianne Die

I love this Marianne Die I used on both sides of the card. With a Leanne Die in the middle and a LeSuh decoupage :) A lovely christmas card!

sentiment

I only had the sentiment and the background paper from the Crafters Companions set for this card, so I added a Marieke decoupage with it. I truly love how decoupage and card kits match together :)

leftovers

I like it with these card kits that you sometimes end up with leftover bits. Sometimes a topper, sometimes background paper. In this case it was background paper. I used a Marieke Decoupage and a lovely spellbinder Die :)
