the last 2011 xmas card

Yes, finally I am posting the last card of 2011. Only 3 months later :)

At the moment I am on holiday in Holland, no doubt making lots and lots of cards with my mum and aunt, and hopefully my sis comes for a crafting day as well :) The last few posts were on schedule, but this is the last one. When I start posting again, they will be the new cards I made in 2012, which starts with some more xmas cards hahaha!!!

Borders

In the magazine I bought with all the vintage xmas stuff, there was also a sheet of borders. Normally I dont use them, but these were just to pretty to not be used at all.

How simple is this card, but I like it :)

more xmas

I know we are halfway march, and I am still posting xmas cards. These are still from last years xmas, and I already have made a few for this coming xmas. I am doing my best to get up to date with my cards, but I am not always in the right state of mind to write blogs. That's why I sometimes do not post things for weeks, but I do make cards, and so I get a load I need to post!!

re-use

When I was sorting out my xmas cards to make tags out of them, I found this one with georgeous borders. I cut them off, and re-used them on a card I made myself :)

It's an extremely simple and fast card.

magazine

When I was in hobbycraft, I saw this xmas magazine that had loads and loads of background papers in it, with matching vintage toppers. It fell straight into my shopping basket, and I made some lovely Happy Newyear cards with them :)

These 2 angels are so pretty!

Background

Last xmas I thought I was up to date with all my xmas cards, and even thought I had some spare ones. Then 2 people asked for some more cards and just bought the whole lot. I was left with nothing, and so I had to make some more cards for my fellow card-club friends :)

For this one I used a background paper that on it's own was pretty boring.

So I took my promarkers and made it into something more intresting :)

What a big difference that made!

And here is the end result:

Another order

I was also asked to create a card for a woman who was going to turn 50, and to make it the Hull rugby (or is it football?? I dont know) colors. I recreated the shirt the big guys wear, used the symbol thingy and put 50 in it :) Not my kinda thing, but it still turned out an ok card :)

Harry Potter

I was asked to make a birthday card for a 15 year old boy, who loves Harry Potter. I turned to the internet and googled, and found some lovely pictures I printed off. I then made a little book idea with one of the pictures I printed and gave the whole card this old, magic book, kinda feel. I scraped all the edges of the card with siccors to give it an even more old look.

To me, this card turned out so cool! I almost did not wanted to sell it hahaha :)
