see through

Remember the card I posted a few weeks ago, the one with the 2 holes cut into the sides? Well, this card is the same idea, only bigger holes hahaha!!

The front of the card, so you can see the different layers of the Marianne Design die that I used! Also, I love that christmas/pointsetta corner stamp!

And here you see the 2 sides with the big holes in it!! They call it appetures :)

accetate

I really do like the accetate cards, and when in Holland I had to do a "demo-workshop" with my mum and aunt :) We all made an accetate card!

For my main focal I used one of Marianne design flowerbasket dies, and filled it with some prima-flowers my mum had :) Isn't it pretty!! All the background papers are printed from one of my craft cd's! They are pretty too :)

Another birthdaycard

2 days before my mum's birthday it is my uncle's birthday, and so I made him a card aswell! I always find it difficult to make a mens card, but luckily I had something my uncle really likes, a wheelbarrow and flowers!

Then I found the most fun dutch birthdayverse, which can be used for any age really! Translated it says: There's a party on your birthday, because you have never been this old! Ofc in dutch it rhymes, which adds to the fun :)

My mum's birthdaycard

It was my mum's birthday in May, and I made her a card similar to a cardidea I had seen on Create and Craft. It is actually one of Dawn Bibby's card idea's, and eventhough I can't stand DB, cos I think she is the most selfcentered person in the world (It's all about DB and her guests and their ideas don't really count!), I must admit that her craftkits are really nice!! Not that I would buy them, but to recreate they are a lot of fun :)

The card has got an arch-shape cut out, and on the backside a lovely birthdayverse. The front has an amazing fence, that I cut with my cricut machine, and the way it's folded makes sure it goes completely flat in post, but when it comes out of the envelope it pops out! Fun times :) I also used gilding flakes on the flowers. It was my first time really using gilding flakes on a wet glue and I so love the endresult!

Depth

Remember as a kid, and the shoeboxes you used to fill with little figures and other things to create a scene, with a cut out hole in it, and the lid cut out and covered with tissuepaper? Well, this card reminds me a bit of that idea!

I love love love the depth of the card! The picture does not really show it, but it really is a look-into-card! Quite simple to make, eventhough I have to remember for next time to use wet glue (like a PVA glue (cosmic shimmers, Aleen's tacky glue etc)) instead of doublesided tape, cos in transport from Holland back to Hull, all sides came loose.

Birthday Verse

Oh look, it isn't a xmas card, it's a birthday card! Yes, I do on occasion make a birthday card as well :)
I like this card, it's so simple but so pretty! Clear embossed the swirly leaf stamps on the outside, to give it something extra, the depth because I gleud it on with foamtape! And then the simple verse in the middle, that makes it look so fancy! Oh, and you can't go wrong with those butterflies :)

Depth

This card, it was so much fun to make! Lots of layers that are punched out, and when finished it looks like you are looking tino someone's house, at a wonderfull picture on the wall! At least, that's how it makes me feel :)

Kitchen feeling!

I had seen this die on a website and I really liked it, but then my Aunt Marij told me she had it bit did not like it at all. To help me decide, she brought it with her to my mums house, before we went to the craftfair, to see if I did like it. And I did!! I cut it out twice and made this really nice circle out of it! And with the decoupage and backgroundpaper used, it feels like stepping into grandma's kitchen!

Lacy background

I had seen this idea either on the craftfair, or on Create and Craft, I can't remember, but I really loved it and so used the idea to make my own card.
Punched out 4 lacy borders (Martha Steward punch) and stuck them on the card as a background, and then build up the card with a sentiment and a cute little decoupage :)

Isn't this goose amazing!!

blue and green

I love a green and blue combo on a card. It gives it a strong feeling, and for xmas it feels cold with snow and cosy with green trees!!! If that makes any sense at all?

I used Marianne design border, and white flower, my new Cheery Lynn leaf-thingies (there are 2 in a package, each one bend a different way, which is awesome!!) and that amazing rectangle die from Spellbinders!!
