4 pretty much the same.

I borrowed this Marianne Design die from Anna, because I had an idea. The idea was to create a big wreath and fill it with all these little branches I punched out. But because it was going to be so big I thought it was best to give it a branch underlay, so thats where the die came in. But when I was layering the big branches up on the wreath, it looked so amazing that I never even bothered with the punched out branches. Als decided straight away that I NEEDED that die for myself!!

I made 4 of the same cards. 1 for an order I had, that is a little bit more simple and does not have a colored Tilda on it, and 3 for my dear family in Holland, my Mum, my Aunt and my Sister! They are more like wallhangings that can come out every year instead of a card! I was really pleased with the result:

Paul's birthday

It was ian's brother Paul's birthday last month, and I made him a cute little card, if I say so myself:

I used my adorables stamp set, and colored them in with promarkers and prismapencils. Used some lovely spellbinders dies, and printed the sentiment, that I created myself. I thought it was somewhat funny as Paul is like 40+ and so a little teaser about his age had to be done :) Remember those days?? :)

Craftclub.

I still go to craftclub every monday morning. I so love it! It's such a great group of lovely ladies :)
Julie, she organizes the club, had seen this fun idea on Create and Craft (don't know how I missed it!!) and she showed me it. Ofcourse I wanted to make it straight away, and this is what I came up with:

The card is a big circle, and one quarter is cut in. Folded the 2 quarters that came seperate through the cut in half and back, so they could stand up. They stand up better because they are attached on some accetate, thats folded. This gives it a little spring, so it folds flat in the envelope but springs up when you take it out. It is a bit difficult to write down how it's done. There are 2 circles on the folded quarters that I rurned into 2 wreaths with a lot of punched branches :) Some pre-made embellishments and a sentiment at the front, and voila, card done :) It sounds more complicated then it is!

X-mas kitty

It took me 2 tries to make this x-mas card. The first time I did the die-cutting, and then glued the patterened paper on it with gluegel and then ran it through the cuttlebug again. That was a big fail!! Threw it in the bin and then tried again :) This time doing it differently, and it turned out really nice :)

The card when it is closed.

And the card when it's open :)

Movement

I was watching Create and Craft a few weeks ago (what a surprise) and there I saw this Hunkydory card with an owl in a tree and when you opened and closed the card, the owl would appear and disappear! It was so much fun, so I wanted to recreate that card as a x-mas card. Well, that took at least 5 hours of trying to figure out how to do it, but the end result is really great!!

Here you see the front of the card and a little bit of the inside opening.

A little more open.

And open all the way!! Tadaaaaaaaa, lovely snowman :):)

Myomie and little pettingzoo.

For my mum, sis and aunt!! Here is Myomie in full make-up, hair and outfit for her dress rehearsal for next weeks performance with Danville's Street Funk streetdance!! They will be performing in the middle of towncentre for the "turning on the x-mas lights" event!! So excited, and she looks so amazing :)

And here are our little furry friends that ian brought home:

This little girl is called Bandit.

And this little fluffy is called Ellie.

This poorly young man is called Gizmo.

This blurry picture is of Mam Rabbit, sho does not have a proper name. I think she might be stuck with beeing called Mam Rabbit.

And last but by no means least, our other young man called Nightburn.

Simple x-mas

I found a moment of time to put something on my blog again. I went on Holiday 3 weeks ago, and came back on monday. Ofcourse, as things are with holidays, there is so much work to be done, but now I have a little moment, before I have to go out again.

When on holiday, I had a really productive 2 weeks!! I made 12 cards, all x-mas, and I love them all!! Over the next couple of weeks I will be showing them onhere. For now, a card I made a while back. It's a very simple x-mas card, but I really like it :)

Tilda is colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors. The Merry Christmas has been filled in with a quicky glue pen and glitters :) I really like that effect!

easel card with a difference

I was watching Create and Craft a few weeks ago (it's not that rare, I watch it almost every day), and the stuff they were showing wasn't my thing. However, there was a sample card I liked the idea of, so I recreated it and gave it my own little shwung!!

As you can see, it's the same idea, just that I cut out a bit with a die, and then used that same die as a frame to stand up, to hang my picture-thingy in!

Another one!

And because I so loved the previous card I showed, I made another one!

The front of the card, plain and simple!

And the inside of the card!! It's exactly the same card, just different colors, and it makes it look so different! Yes I love making these cards!

Xmas extravaganza

A few weeks ago I got an order in to make 10 big xmas cards. I can do xmas and I can do big!! So far I have 8 finished (thats where I have been hiding) and this is the first one:

The front of the card. Nothing special really, just a simple xmas card. Untill you open it:

I made an open book/box idea with a xmas tree in it made out of all these little branches I made with a punch. There are almost 2 A4 sheets punched in that tree!! Also made a little pocket to write the message in.

Here is a close-up of the tree. I used these amazing metalic beads my sister gave me a while back, to resemble baubles. I so love this card!

Joe

If I did it right, this post will be posted (!!) at the same time as I am flying to Holland. Yes I am trying to use the scheduled post thing for my blog. Lets hope I did it right hahaha!

This card I made for Ian's nephew Joe. It was his 18th birthday, and well, what on earth do you make for an 18 year old lad?? So I just made a simple card with his name on it.

Danaé

Some of you may know this, others may not. 3 years ago on the 12th of september, my sister gave birth to a wonderfull baby girl. Unfortunatly she was not allowed to stay on earth and after 18 hours we had to say goodby to her. Every year I make a card for her birthday, and I always use the amount of butterflies on the cards as she would have turned that day. So this year 3 butterflies on the card. And I also used a butterfly Tilda I happened to have.

The butterflies and Tilda's wings are colored with Spectrum Noir. Can I just say OMG, these are so amazing to color with!! I am most definatly buying more of these when they are finally back in stock. The rest of Tilda is colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors.

And here is one I made earlier!

Well, sort off I suppose. I made this card a few months ago when I was in Holland at my mums house. I really love the colors on this card, and this shape really is one of my fave!!

Lovely Tilda is colored with Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils!

Part 3 of 3

I can't believe how fast the time is going. Already a week has gone by since my last post, and I dont know where the time has gone. I have been making lots of BIG x-mas cards, got my finger taped to a lollipop stick since wednesday (which is really uncomfy and annoying!!) and went to the fair with the kids last night. Don't think though that having 2 fingers stuck to some wood is keeping me from crafting, eventhough it's painfull hahaha!!
Anyways, here is the last one of the set of 3 I made:

The little flower at the bottom, I made myself. It's 2 sizes of lace and I just sew them together at the bottom. Pearl from an old necklace in the middle and voila!!

A set of 3 part 2

This is the second card I made with those amazing papers I got from my Auntie Marij :)
It's another simple card, and I now notice that the shrinked embellishment is hanging backwards on the picture!! Just imagin a christmas bauble on it :)

A set of 3

A few weeks ago, I got this amazing package in mail. It came from my aunt. She and my mum had been to a craftfair in Holland, and they came across all this amazing paper. She was so kind to by me a bloc of paper, and I have made 3 cards with it. This is the first of 3 same sort cards.

At my craftclub I was asked to do some demonstrations with versamark and embossingpowders. I also took my pearl-ex powders with me to show what else you can do. I stamped the christmas tree with versamark and went to town with my gold powder :):) Then I created a little embelishment with a spellbindersdie and shrink plastic. I so love how it turned out!!

As promised

I promised my mum a few days ago I would post the card I made for someones birthday. And ofc me beeing me, I forgot, and then got so busy preparing for the kids birthdayparty this afternoon. But I remembered, and so here it is:

The card took a good 5 hours to make, but I so so love it. The castle in the background is colored with prismacolors and sansodor. The fairies are colored with promarkers except the dresses, they are colored with Spectrum Noir, which in time will be added more to my collection cos they are amazing!! The fairies wings I used Angelina fibres and that flat stuff ( I forgot the name, sorry). I ironed it first so it was nice and flat and melted together, then used a stazon ink and stamped the wings. Cut it out and glued it on the fairies! It's so lovely and shiny!! Marianne Design dies were used, and one of the tag dies from spellbinders.

a tiny card

When we were at my mums over the summerholidays, we had a little "going to big school"-party for one of my sisters daughters. She loves going to the beach and get shells, so it was easy to choose what to make.
Used my new Adorables stamps, with the girl sitting at the beach picking shells.

I used the biggest size nestie to create the cardshape. Actually, I used the shape and made a faux nestie, by drawing around it and then cut it out. The lovely little girl is colored with promarkers.

Copycat

A little while ago I saw this amazing card on one of the blogs I follow. I think it was on Bev Rochesters blog, but I am not sure. She made a fabulous card using grand nesties. I don't have grand nesties, but I do have a pc, google, and a printer, so I found myself a nice scalloped circle, printed it out in 4 different sizes and made this lovely card:

As you can see, it has a hole in the middle, so you see through to the back/inside of the card!! I found this such a clever idea.

That's the card laying flat.

And that's just the inside.

Tilda is colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors.

Copics

Now, I have never colored with copic markers before. I don't even own one. But when we went on holiday this summer to my mums house, I took the opertunity to use hers. I must say, it's a different way of coloring, and my mum only owns a few so there weren't a lot of colors to choose from that were in the same line. But I did try and color it as nice as I could.

Only her top and skirt are colored with copics, the rest is done with Promarkers. I did enjoy coloring with them, so maybe one day I might buy them :)

My sisters Birthdaycard

Eventhough my sisters birthday was on the 22nd of July, I have not posted the card yet that I made for her.

Isn't she lovely!! When I saw this stamp on the Doncaster craftfair, I knew I had to have it :) Colored her with Promarkers and prismacolors. The paper I used is from Laura Ashley and it has a fabric feel to it, it's so awesome!!

Another not so good one

I don't know why that is, but sometimes you make a card, and you have an idea in your head, and it feels really good. But then when you start making it, and see the end result, it's not as good as you had hoped! This is another one that is ok, but not one of my fave!

I am not quite sure where it all went wrong, but on the positive side, I do love how Tilda is colored :) I used Promarkers and prismacolors.

sketch saturday

What a lovely sketch this week!! I used it to make a birthday card for my oldest daughter Myomie. It was her birthday last monday, she is now 9 years old. One more year and she becomes a teenager, god help me!

When I first started coloring her (isn't she cute, from lily of the valley) I thought it was going to be completely wrong. The colors I used together were not really what I wanted, but when I started to use the prismacolors and it turned out a lot better. Then when I put the whole card together, it just all came together and I fell in love with it :)

Hot

Wasn't it just hot yesterday?? The weather is doing my head in really, hot, cold, rain, hot again ... it's not very good for my state of mind. Anyways, yesterday was a really hot day, and eventhough the kids were gone to Granny, I just layed on the sofa and watched tv. No crafting for me in this weather. I even wore a dress, and that's a miracle on it's own!!
To celebrate the heat, here is a x-mas card I made a few weeks ago hahaha :)

A combination of different stamp brands, that created a cute little scene. The scroll I made, I actually set on fire. Well, not fully on fire, but did the edges with a lighter. I love the smell of burning paper.

sketch saturday

Here is me card for the Sketch Saturday Challenge. I made the card actually last saturday, straight after I saw the sketch. But then doom struck, and my pc went to pc heaven. Well, to me it did, as it was making a LOT of beeping noises, and that was all it did. Yesterday my lovely boyfriend found the problem, and hurrah, it's working again *knock on wood*.
I made the card for my youngest daughter. It's her birthday this coming saturday, so it was a two in one bonus :)

I really wanted to use this Tilda image, but as all Tilda's, they can be on the large side for certain cards. What I did was, I got the image, put it on my scanner, and then made a copy but resized her to 75%. That made her perfect for the nestie I wanted to use :)
She is colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors. I started to make a colorbook, where I write down the colors I used for my cards. Since there are a lot of colors in her dress, and they are long words to write, and not just some numbers like copics or Spectrum Noir, I wont bore you with the list. If you wanna know what colors I used, send an email :)

Not one of the best

Sometimes you make a card, and you think to yourself, OK, who can I send this too, who won't really notice that it's a rubbish card. This is one of those cards.
When my mum was here, she brought one of her new spellbinder dies, and I came up with an idea with one of the dies. The idea was good, the end result was clearly less!! hahahahaha :)

Back

Yes, we are back again from our 2 week holiday in Holland. Stayed at my mums house, but this time not a lot of crafting was done. That's ok, we had a lovely time with the kids! And now it's back to "normal" life with all the cleaning and cooking etc.
I did buy some new craftstuff in Holland, and I am looking forward to play with it :) I need to unpack one more suitcase and then the table is mine again hahaha!!
For now, a card I made a while back :)

I used one of the bigger nestie dies I have to create an easel card. Colored this lovely girl with Promarkers and Prismacolors. I love her colors, she is so 70's :)

For Resa

Ever since Joëlle is born, her sister Resa is making a lot of progress. After eating babyfood for almost 7 years, she is now eating "big people" food!! We are all so proud of her. And to show her, and because she loves cards with "Dollies" on (that's Tilda for you and me), what better way then make a lovely card!

Tilda, in her kitchen, making a lovely applepie or whatever :):) She is colored with Promarkers and prismacolors. The jars and windows in the cabinet are glazed, to give them a glass effect! Used some wallpaper like backgroundpaper :) Kept it fairly simple, so it's not too overwhelming for her, as there is a lot to see on this card.

Father-in-law

This coming friday is a day full of birthdays. First of all it will be my sisters birthday. We will see her only a few days after, because we are going to Holland on tueday!! Looking so much forward to it. I can then give her her card, cos I am a bit scared in sending it tbh :)
Also that same friday is my Father-in-Law's birthday. Steve is an amazing guy, and I love him to bits!! Yesterday I made him his birthdaycard with my new Adorables stamps. When I saw these stamps on Create and Craft I knew I had to have them, so I ordered them, and then it took almost 3 weeks before they finally arrived!! Not very good service of C&C. When they came, it took me 2 days to cut them out of the rubber and stick them on EZ-mount, and then it took me another full day to cut them out of the EZ-mount. Now that it's done it is time to play!!
I can post Steve's card now, cos he does not go on my blog, and he wont see it before his birthday :) I was really happy with the result!

I saw this type of card on Bev Rochesters blog, and fell in love with it. The card has a big hole in the middle and on the backpart it has the sentiment.
The little boy is colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors. For myself to remember and maybe for others who would like to recreate some of the colors, I have actually written down the colors I used.

skin= ivory, blush and ducky pink
shirt and socks = midnight blue, china blue, cornflower and blue pearl.
trousers = french navy, aegean, cyan and sky blue
backpack brown and shoes = cinnamon, tan and putty
backpack green and pocket shirt = olive green, marsh green, moss and pear green
hair and walking stick = walnut, cocoa and caramel

for the geese:
feathers = tan and putty and cool grey 1 plus blender for a bit of shading in the white.
Here's the card laying flat, so you can see the sentiment really well, and just the overall layout of the card!

Another one

A while back I posted a card that someone in my craftclub asked me to make as an example for her. I really do like that kind of card so I made another one.

All flowers and this wonderfull image by Penny Black are colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors. Actually, this image was the first time I used the pencils, and a whole new world of coloring opened for me :) I dont think I can ever color without anymore :)

Ribbit Ribbit :)

I think it was 2 months ago, or maybe a bit longer, but I did make a fantastic deal then :) We were at Carboot, and there I saw this stand with craftstuff. This girl was selling all her wooden block stamps. I asked how much they were, and she gave me a price. So I started looking through them, and realized that everything inthere was just amazing. So I asked what the full box would cost me. Mind you, there were 45 stamps inthere, and not just small ones. There were stamps inthere that are worth at least 10 pound a piece.
She asked for 15 pound for the complete box, and I got a heatgun with it for free!! Guess what ... I bought it :)

Then it was close to my Uncles birthday, and one of the stamps inthere was just perfect for him :)

This cute and fun frog was in it :) A very large stamp, which is so much fun!! Colored with Promarkers and Prismacolors.

And this is the inside of the card. Simple, but it does the trick :):)
