Book

Here is another one with those vintage scenes. I created a little book idea, and the topper was a perfect fit!

Vintage

My mum gave me lots of these amazing vintage christmas scenes. Some in color, some in sepia tones. They are lovely little pictures to work with. I do apologize about the bad picture though.

Stolen

I saw this card idea on the Heartfelt Creations website, and I had to remake it. Ofc I did not have the Heartfelt Creations stamps back then (I do now though!!) so I used Sheena Douglas flowers!

More and more Stippled blossoms

I made this card for someone on the Hunkydorables facebook page. She was poorly and needed a cheering up card. I can't begin to tell you how often I stamped the Hang in there before it was right, They are all loose letters and I kept messing up, mostly on the G.

I love love love this. I made the background myself using a Barbara Gray stamp, one of the stippled blossoms and a swirl-stamp that I have.

Circle Stamp

At my craftclub someone gave a phonecall to Julie, that someone had passed away and wanted to donate the craftstuff to us. One of the things was this stamp! Perfect fit for the circle bauble die from Spellbinders!

Background stamp

years and years ago I bought this wonderfull background stamp, and as per usuall, it just lays there and does not get used. I bought the cosmic shimmer flake and glitter glue, and used it on the stamp. I stamped it twice on red paper and used gold gilding flakes on it. WOW!! So stunning.

Stippled Blossoms

It's so easy to make a stunning card with the stippled blossoms stamps from Stampin Up! A nice big sentiment from Sheena Douglas and done really!

Perfect combo

A few posts ago I wrote the love I found for these JustRite stamps. I also have this equal love for the Heartfelt Creations stamps that I have been ordering online (the flowers!!). Now a combination of those two on one card is just perfect!!! Sentiment from JustRite, flowerborder from Heartfelt Creations. Oh and some awesome Spellbinders Dies!

Example

When my mum came over for 2 weeks, I showed her the new Spellbinders Dies I had. She did not really know what this one looked like, so I made a quick example card for her. She has now bought this Die-set as well hahaha!! Oh, and you might have noticed. I have finally given in and bought the ribbon (crinkly silk or something) that Sue Wilson always uses to make big bows on my cards!!

resist technique

For this card I used the resist technique. I stamped the Indigo Blu Poinsettia stamps in versamark and used clear embossing powder. Then covered the whole sheet in Distress ink (Peacock feathers) and edged the borders with faded jeans. Embossed the whole lot, and voila, stunning background!!

JustRite

So the first stall we saw on the Doncaster craftfair sold all these amazing Spellbinders Dies, and to my surprise JustRite stamps. I had seen them on C&C many times, and loved them, but seeing them in real life I just LOOOOOOOOOVVVEEEEDDDDD them!! You can expect a LOT of christmas cards with these stamps and Dies in the future hahaha :)

Simplicity

Sometimes a card does not need all the flowers and other madness, although they are my favourite cards to make hahaha. This card is just a white sheet. I used a Heartfelt Creations border stamp, colored it with Promarkers, and then used this verse stamp I found on the craftfair in Doncaster. I bought 3 different ones, and now regret I did not buy more of them, they are so lovely!

Old school

Sometimes I go back to "old school" card making. For me that means embroidery on cards. I so love this technique, it's so so pretty, but most of the time I have to do it in stages as my hands really start to hurt when doing this.

As seen on tv

So, my mum and I went to the Doncaster Craftfair on my birthday, and what AMAZING things did we buy!! I spend my birthday money (and a bit more) on the most lovely stamps, Dies and other yummie things!! This card is made with a Spellbinders Die and matching JustRite stamps. I saw this idea on Create and Craft, and wanted to recreate it. This is just a simple and fast version. When I am done making cards that someone ordered, special birthday cards, and some other stuff, I will have time to play with all of this again! I can't wait!

Stampin Up

I had seen this card example somewhere online, where someone used a stampset called stippled blossoms from Stampin Up. I fell in love with it, and ordered it. What a great pleasure to work with this stampset!! The 2 side panels with the mustard flowers, is all stamped/created with that stampset!

Birthday card

I am a member of the Hunkydorables facebook page, and one of the lovely Hunkydorables asked if we could make a card for her daughter's birthday. She was going to be 10. I said yes, and created this simple, yet lovely and quick card for her.

Background

My mum had bought this amazing stampset from Barbara Gray, which were 6 or 8 different leaf-idea stamps. They all had exactly the same shape, and work amazing together. I created a couple of backgrounds with them, before my mum took them back to Holland!! On this card I also used the stencil I bought from Barbara Gray. The flower and leafs are from heartfelt creations :)

Unusuall

Now this is a card that is very unusuall for me to make, but I had so much fun making it!! The card is made for my Ian's brother. He loves trains, and he loves something Rugby or football, something to do with a Hull team, and their mascott is a Robin. I then used an old picture from the '80's and put him inside the train hahahaha!!! He so loved the card!

I had to make a card for someone who's loved one sadly passed away. Luckily my mum came to the rescue with this card as she cut out the cross for me! Thank you mum!!

One of those Dies

On this card I have used one of those Dies that you buy, because it looks so great, you use it once, and then forget about it really!! A bit silly because it truly is a great Die!

flower

Again a card where the background takes centre stage! On this one I used a lovely flower Die. I don't know the make, but I love that it's a fully open Die, so you can ink it completely and leave just a little white edge!

Pink and Orange

For this card I embossed the background. For some reason I totally love the embossed look, but always forget to use my embossing folders! I then created 2 orange flowers. Orange and pink is such a lovely color combination :)

I bet you don't recognize it, but the golden intrecate lace idea behind this topper is actually an oval Spellbinders Die! How pretty!

Frame

Some of the Hunkydory card has such a cute picture on it that it is just ashame to stick something over it. In this case I used the background card, and created an appature frame on the front using stamps and distressinks. This is one of my favourite cards of this year!

I love the tones of this Hunkydory cardkit. The greys and whites, and the lovely animals! And that little splash of blue created with a Spellbinders corner Die sets it of so nicely :)

Gatefold

They call this type of card a gatefold card. I have always liked making this type of card. The one thing I have learned making this one though, is NOT to punch through Hunkydory card!! I nearly broke my beloved Martha Steward punch!!

hunkydory 050

A card from the Hunkydory Blockbuster. Already 50 cards made from the set and still so so much to go! I cut out 2 snowflakes, well, they are not really snowflakes, but I think they are amazing, from a spellbinders Die. I used cosmic shimmer glue in red to create faux pearls, only to discover that when it's really warm outside the glue just runs instead of making a nice pearl shape. So when it tried, I put some little gems on top of them :)

leftovers

I like it with these card kits that you sometimes end up with leftover bits. Sometimes a topper, sometimes background paper. In this case it was background paper. I used a Marieke Decoupage and a lovely spellbinder Die :)
